This Machine [Sonic Heroes]
Vengeful and determined, Omega always achieves his goal by any means, ignoring any obstacles in his way. As Eggman’s robot, however, Omega is intelligent and has made the decision to betray his creator. Omega will do anything to destroy Eggman, making any sacrifice to do so.
Omega despises organic life forms, calling them “meatbags” just as much as he hates Eggman’s robots. However, Omega works for the defenders of humanity, the GUN, and promotes human well-being in every way possible.
In addition, Omega has a special bond with his fellow Team Dark members Shadow and Rouge. For their sake he is willing to make considerable sacrifices and even to forget about his revenge. It is probably Team Dark that awakens in Omega something more than the usual desire to destroy.

In a direct battle, Omega is almost unbeatable, but he can be taken with strength in numbers or tricks. Also, Omega is famous for acting without thinking which often causes troble. In Sonic Heroes (2003) Omega’s sensors were jammed, which shows that’s an effective way to disable his research functions.

The final lot number of the E series robots built by Eggman, and the strongest of them all.
He was created to support the resurrected Shadow, or to deter him from running out of control, so even though he had the biggest power level, he has always been sealed away with Shadow at the base.
However, Omega himself holds a grudge against Eggman. His goal is to destroy all of Eggman’s mecha to prove that he is the strongest, and to take revenge on Eggman for sealing him away.
He has a sturdy body and two strong arms. His arms can be transformed into various weapons for a variety of attacks.
The first appearance of Omega happened in Sonic Heroes (2003). Rouge the Bat, a thief and treasure hunter by occupation, infiltrates Eggman’s base to find the treasure, but instead finds a capsule with Shadow the Hedgehog, the Ultimate Life Form inside. By chance, Rouge frees Shadow and immediately, Shadow is attacked by E-123 Omega, sealed in the same room. Omega was especially created to defend Shadow while being encapsulated. After Shadow was released, Omega should’ve supported him or stopped him, if Shadow was out of control, but Omega was offended by such treatment and decided to destroy Eggman, all his robots and Shadow, as Omega thinks that Shadow is one of Eggman’s robots. Rouge stops the fight and listens to both of them. Shadow has amnesia and remembers absolutely nothing, while Omega understands Shadow does not serve Eggman. The three band together as Team Dark and seek out Eggman, each for their own reasons. In the end, Rouge doesn’t find the treasure, but she does find more pods with Shadow inside. Rouge suspects that Shadow is actually a robot created by Eggman and Omega decides to find the original, though he failed to carry out his revenge this time.
In Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) Earth was attacked by the alien race Black Arms and while all the heroes were busy fighting them, Omega continued on his revenge ignoring all the battles going on. After the events of the game, Omega and Shadow, following Rouge, joined GUN – Guardians Units of Nations and Team Dark more than once helped greatly in saving humanity. As a team, Omega, Rouge and Shadow have created a close friendship bond to the point when they’re ready to sacrifice themselves for the sake of each other.
In Sonic Forces (2017) while destroying another one of Eggman’s base by GUN’s order, Shadow defeats another mercenary squad. The leader of the squad named Jakal cannot take defeat and decides to use Eggman’s help with his invention – the Phantom Ruby to become stronger. After learning how to use a Phantom Ruby’s power, Jakal renames himself Infinite and decides to help Eggman to conquer the world. Team Dark, while attacking Eggman by GUN’s order another time, encounters Infinite. Using Phantom Ruby’s power, Infinite shuts down Omega and almost defeats Shadow. After that, Shadow and Rouge joined the resistance and together defeated Eggman and Infinite, in the process repairing Omega.
