Zone description : A hugely populated city, Station Square is capable of surprising the casual visitor with the presence of almost every institution, from the local beach and giant amusement park to the speedway at a great height above the city and a nighttime casino. Notable attractions here include the train station connected to Mystic Ruins, the city hall connected to the previously mentioned Speed Highway, which is an expressway in the built-up part of town, Twinkle Park (entry to which is free for cute couples), the cute Emerald Coast, with its swimming pool and sunbathing residents, and the night-time-only Casinopolis. Later, after the attack on the city caused by Chaos and the resulting massive flood, the city will be completely rebuilt and become a small township with tiny houses covered in snow from the nearby cold Blue Ridge Zone. There are rumors that one of the secret Chao Gardens is hidden somewhere around here. Also, Amy Rose lived here for a while.

Sonic Adventure (1998)

The much-grown Sonic faces a new threat: the mighty Chaos monster. Dr. Robotnik frees this monster from Master Emerald with the hope that Chaos will help him build his empire. Chaos can absorb Chaos Emeralds and become stronger, so Sonic teamed up with Tails and after giving Robotnik the nickname Eggman, sets out in search of Emeralds. In the process, the heroes are contacted by a mysterious red spirit, apparently trying to help in the fight against Chaos.

In the end, Chaos manages to absorb all the Chaos Emeralds and becomes Perfect Chaos, flooding all of Station Square. The red spirit that has been with the heroes all along materializes next to Sonic, turning out to be a girl who lived many years ago named Tikal. Tikal was a friend of Chaos, but she saw no other way but to re-seal Chaos into Master Emerald forever. Sonic flatly refuses this option and believes that this approach won’t solve the problem because Chaos’s hatred won’t go anywhere. By using the positive power of the Chaos Emeralds Sonic becomes Super Sonic and defeats Perfect Chaos in battle. The weakened Chaos speaks to Tikal, and she manages to extinguish the pain and rage of the distraught monster. After thanking the heroes, Tikal and Chaos return to Master Emerald and Sonic doesn’t stop on his adventure.

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (2008)

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy supported by GUN forces storm Eggman’s fortress and seemingly kill the evil doctor. However, Dr. Robotnik keeps himself alive thanks to one of the medical robots and escapes for almost half of the year. After this time, the world was invaded by mysterious warriors, immediately nicknamed Marauders. They turned on Eggman’s old robots and used them for their own purposes, causing the heroes, led by Sonic, to go after Eggman himself.

The Doctor convinced the heroes that he had given up on villainy and offered to help fight the Marauders. It turns out that the Marauders are an ancient, high-tech echidna clan exiled to another world called Nocturnus. The heroes infiltrate Eggman’s old base in Metropolis through Station Square, located in the Blue Ridge Zone, and encounter the Maraders in battle, but the villains still manage to steal the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds and escape with them through a portal to their own world. The heroes pursue the Marauders into their own world and eventually recover the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds. However, when they return home, they learn that the time they spent in Nocturnus dimension was much slower than in their home world, and during their absence, Dr. Eggman has built a vast robot empire and declared a new war on them.
