Zone description : A strange floating island above South Island, the Sleeping Egg Zone is a place where Dr. Robotnik could find rest and solace. As a villain base, it is filled with hostile robots, traps and, of course, many Robotnik faces plastered around. Compared to the Doctor’s other bases, this one is a little bit more welcoming and safe.

Events
Sonic Chaos (1993)
Using the power of the Chaos Emerald he found, Dr. Robotnik recaptures South Island and creates weapons based on Chaos energy. Later, the supersonic hero Sonic the Hedgehog and his best friend Miles “Tails” Prower arrive on the island, find 5 Chaos Emeralds and fight to retrieve the remaining Emerald from Dr. Robotnik, thus freeing the South Island.
The third location visited on their journey is the Sleeping Egg Zone. Making their way through the villain’s base, located on a strange floating island, the heroes encounter the most dangerous of the local robots – the Bouncy Boss Robot.
