Zone description : Located at the southern end of Eggman Island, Desert Dodge is a hurricane-filled mountain wilderness that threatens to destroy anyone who enters by throwing them down the mountain either by quicksand or constant tornadoes. As if that weren’t enough, Dr. Robotnik’s caterpillar-like robots also pursue the invaders, trying to hasten their demise.

The heroes Sonic the Hedgehog, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel were captured by one of evil Dr. Robotnik’s large tank vehicles. The tank threw the heroes into a trap-filled Eggman Island with the goal of destroying them. Teaming along, the three fight throughout the Eggman Island. Desert Dodge turns out to be the third location that the heroes visit on Eggman Island, where they have to flee from the hurricane winds chasing them, trying to avoid the quicksand and Dr. Robotnik’s robots. Sonic, Mighty and Ray managed to get to the Island’s control room, but Robotnik decided to activate the self-destruction system of the Island and escaped right after. The trio barely escaped the blast, and the Island was destroyed.
