Zone description : A kingdom of games and riches located somewhere on the West Side Island, Casino Night Zone is a huge casino town completely dedicated to the theme of Dr. Robotnik, Sonic, and Tails’ battles. All of the boxes on the local slot machines are made in the image of the Doctor, Sonic, and Tails, as well as recognizable items like rings and spiky balls. Rings are used as currency here, which sort of raises the question of the role of rings in Sonic world.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992)

The supersonic hero Sonic the Hedgehog arrives on his new plane, the Tornado, on West Side Island, where he meets his new friend Miles “Tails” Prower, a little fox who is interested in the plane. Despite his shyness, Tails loves to fix and build machines, so he is immediately interested in the Tornado. Thanks to that, Sonic and Tails begin a friendship on this basis. Soon, the evil Dr. Robotnik arrives on West Side Island and kidnaps the animals, putting them in robots to find the Chaos Emeralds and build his ultimate weapon – the space station Death Egg. Sonic, this time with the help of Tails, once again faces the villain in battle.

The fourth location the heroes visit is the Casino Night Zone, where the characters take part in the nightly revelries of a casino town apparently built by Dr. Robotnik. Here the heroes once again face off against Robotnik in his next modification of Egg Mobile, the Egg Claw.

With time, Sonic manages to find all seven Chaos Emeralds and takes the Super Sonic form. In the end, thanks to the help of Tails and the Tornado modification that the little fox manages to make, Sonic gets on Robotnik’s unfinished Death Egg station, where the hero fights the doctor’s new robot Mecha Sonic as well as Death Egg Bot. After defeating Robotnik and escaping from the Death Egg, Sonic returns to Tails and his animal friends using his Super Sonic form.

Sonic Generations (2011)

Being attacked by a godlike entity called Time Eater, Sonic finds himself in a dimension beyond time and space. Trying to figure out where he is, the first place Sonic finds is the lifeless zone from his past. After running through the old familiar location, Sonic brings it back to life, thus rescuing Tails from the captivity of the Time Eater. Moving on through the desolate world, Sonic finds the lifeless Casino Night Zone, to which he also returns life.
