A real mom, Vanilla is both very kind and sweet, as well as strict and demanding. As Cream’s mother, Vanilla always demands good and polite behavior from her daughter. It was her mother’s strict upbringing that led to Cream’s rather amusing way of expressing herself.
Naturally, however, Vanilla is always very caring and concerned about her daughter. Despite the fact that she seems to treat saving the world as something frivolous, she is always very worried if Cream is involved in such ventures. Regardless, she does not forbid it and never restricts her daughter from wanting to find trouble, for along with trouble may come new friends, whom Vanilla is happy to treat to tea.

Sonic Advance 2 (2002)
Eggman kidnapped Vanilla, her daughter Cream, Chao Cheese (Cream’s best friend/pet) and the fox named Miles “Tails” Prower. Sonic the Hedgehog frees Cream and Cheese from Eggman’s captivity, but is forced to rush on to save Tails and defeat Eggman. Cream tries to tell Sonic that Vanilla has also been kidnapped, but fails, so she decides to go to her mother’s rescue on her own. After going through a lot and defeating Eggman repeatedly, Cream and Cheese participate in an attack on Egg Utopia, Eggman’s main base, and finally save Vanilla. After saving mom, Vanilla and Cream are walking through the valley when suddenly Eggman, in his perfect robot, steals Vanilla and escapes into space. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles the Echidna arrive too late and Cream begins to cry, completely exhausted. Sonic then shows the seven Chaos Emeralds he collected during his adventures, becomes Super Sonic, defeats Eggman in a hard fight and saves Vanilla.
In between of the games…
Cream had a new friend named Emerl, who was a robot. But Emerl was destroyed, which wounded Cream mentally.
Sonic Advance 3 (2004)
Eggman created a copy of Emerl, named Gemerl. Gemerl had the same abilities and also had character and emotions, but was loyal to Eggman. Cream, Cheese, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose (Cream’s best friend) went on an adventure to stop Eggman and Gemerl. At the end, Gemerl betrays Eggman and tries to destroy the planet, so Super Sonic and Eggman work together to defeat Gemerl. The defeated Gemerl is found by Cream and taken to Tails. Tails fixes and reprograms Gemerl so that he becomes kinder, Gemerl settles in Vanilla’s house and heals Cream’s mental wounds caused by Emerl’s death.
