It Doesn't Matter [Sonic Adventure]
The fastest living creature, living like the wind, is our protagonist – Sonic the Hedgehog. He is cheerful and active, hates stopping and always looks ahead in life. He will always come to the aid of those in trouble and fight the bad guys.
Despite his positivity, Sonic is a realist and even as a hero, is capable of making sacrifices for the sake of those close to him. But even then, towards villains he shows empathy, always trying to find the best way out for them as well, which is his greatest heroic trait. No matter how often Sonic was facing fights, he rarely considers them to be real enemies and instead reflects on those situations as fun moments or challenges. Furthermore, Sonic shows a great capacity of forgiveness towards those he was facing against before and ones that he still sees to this day.
Sonic is a relatively bad friend. He often forgets or doesn’t even think about the feelings of those around him, sometimes disappearing for a long time without letting his friends know about his whereabouts. However, he has a strong sense of rightness and sticks by those he cares about. Despite his somewhat indifferent attitude, nothing is dearer to Sonic than his friends.
Sonic is quite impulsive, quick, and tends to be rude. Not out of spite, but rather out of a competitive spirit. As a true athlete, Sonic doesn’t give in to trivialities and expects the same from those around him. However, his impoliteness is only on the surface; in fact, Sonic will go to great lengths to save a complete stranger.
Beyond that, Sonic is the type of a guy who has a fondness towards nature and its beauty. Which brought him into situations already where he stands as protector of it. This makes Sonic take naps outside often nearby lush environments.
Sonics carefree, easygoing, and cool attitude might be annoying to those who are close to him at times and while his massive ego and cocky behavior could lead to trouble, he has a strong sense of justice and stands for freedom. He would prevent any harm to his friends at the cost of his own wellbeing.

He loves to be free and doesn’t like things to go wrong. He has a bit of a temper, but he also has a kind heart that won’t leave anyone alone if they are in trouble. He believes that life is a series of incidents and adventures and he lives by his own rules rather than the rules of others or common sense. He keeps his promises and he will never betray. He is honest about what is right. Normally he is a mere buffoon, aloof in every crisis, but at the critical moment he surprises everyone with his intensity and sharpness, as if he were someone else. The fastest hedgehog in history that can’t be ridiculed anyway.

Sonic the Hedgeog (1991)
It all began on South Island, when one day the evil Dr. Robotnik decided to use his genius mind to build his own empire. To do this, he needed to build a powerful space station – the Death Egg. To build such a massive station, he needed powerful energy, namely the power of the Chaos Emeralds, so he created an army of robots, put animals inside of those robots as a power source and went in search of the Emeralds. That’s where our hero comes in. Using his incredible speed, Sonic rescues the animals from the robots, finds six Chaos Emeralds and defeats Dr. Robotnik. After the battle, the Chaos Emeralds returns its beauty to South Island and disappear, scattering across the world.
Sonic CD (1993)
Dr. Robotnik chains up the Little Planet, a mysterious formation inhabited mostly by plants and where time has no power. Using the power of Time Stones, Dr. Robotnik returns to the past of the Little Planet and takes it over. Soon after, Sonic arrives at the Little Planet to stop the villain. He is pursued by Amy Rose, a pink hedgehog and a big Sonic fan. Once on the Little Planet, Amy finds Sonic, but he shows no interest in her until she is kidnapped by Robotnik’s powerful new robot, Metal Sonic. Sonic chases his metal replica while also collecting Time Stones and destroying the robot-producing machines of the past. After winning the race against Metal Sonic, Sonic saves Amy from captivity and after defeating Dr. Robotnik, the two leave the mysterious place together and earn the gratitude of the inhabitants of the rescued world.
Sonic the Hedgeog 2 (1992)
Sonic arrives on his new plane, the Tornado, on West Side Island, where he meets his new friend Miles “Tails” Prower, a little fox who is interested in the plane. Despite his shyness, Tails loves to fix and build machines, so he is immediately interested in the Tornado, and Sonic and Tails begin a friendship on this basis. Soon, Dr. Robotnik arrives on West Side Island and kidnaps the animals again, putting them in robots to find the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic, this time with the help of Tails, once again faces the villain in battle. Sonic manages to find all seven Chaos Emeralds and takes the Super Sonic form. In the end, thanks to the help of Tails and the Tornado modification that the little fox manages to make, Sonic gets on Robotnik’s space station, where the hero fights the doctors new robot Mecha Sonic as well as Death Egg Bot. After defeating Robotnik and escaping from the station, Sonic returns to Tails and his animal friends using his Super Sonic form.
Sonic the Hedgeog 3 & Knuckles (1994)
After his defeat, Dr. Robotnik lands on Angel Island, where he finds an energy source even more powerful than the Chaos Emeralds, namely the Master Emerald. However, it was protected by the powerful guardian Knuckles the Echidna. Despite his power, Knuckles is rather gullible, so Robotnik convinces the echidna that Sonic and Tails are trying to steal the Master Emerald, thus turning Knuckles against the heroes. Soon, Sonic and Tails arrive on Angel Island and are immediately attacked by Knuckles, who takes the Chaos Emeralds from the heroes and hides them around the island. Sonic and Tails pursue Knuckles and Robotnik, recovering the Chaos Emeralds along the way. After destroying the Launch Base, the heroes find a portal to the Master Emerald, which they use to enhance the Chaos Emeralds to Super Emeralds. Using their power, Sonic uses the Hyper Sonic form and Tails uses the Super Tails form. Together the heroes defeat Knuckles, but Robotnik takes advantage of this to steal the Master Emerald. Realizing his mistake, Knuckles helps the heroes pursue the doctor. Sonic and Tails, in the process defeating another iteration of Metal Sonic – Neo Metal Sonic, make their way to the Death Egg rebuilt with the help of the Master Emerald. Facing off in the final battle, Sonic and Tails defeat Great Eggman Robo, but even then Robotnik doesn’t give up and tries to escape in his Death Egg Bot. Sonic, using his Hyper Sonic form, catches up with the villain and defeats him, returning the Master Emerald.
Sonic Adventure (1998)
The much-grown Sonic faces a new threat: the mighty Chaos monster. Dr. Robotnik frees this monster from Master Emerald with the hope that Chaos will help him build his empire. Chaos can absorb Chaos Emeralds and become stronger, so Sonic teamed up with Tails and after giving Robotnik the nickname Eggman, sets out in search of Emeralds. In the process, the heroes are contacted by a mysterious red spirit, apparently trying to help in the fight against Chaos. In the end, Chaos manages to absorb all the Chaos Emeralds and becomes Perfect Chaos, flooding all of Station Square. The red spirit that has been with the heroes all along materializes next to Sonic, turning out to be a girl who lived many years ago named Tikal. Tikal was a friend of Chaos, but she saw no other way but to re-seal Chaos into Master Emerald forever. Sonic flatly refuses this option and believes that this approach won’t solve the problem because Chaos’s hatred won’t go anywhere. By using the positive power of the Chaos Emeralds Sonic becomes Super Sonic and defeats Perfect Chaos in battle. The weakened Chaos speaks to Tikal, and she manages to extinguish the pain and rage of the distraught monster. After thanking the heroes, Tikal and Chaos return to Master Emerald and Sonic doesn’t stop on his adventure.
Sonic Adventure 2 (2001)
Sonic is suddenly captured by the GUN (Guardian Units of Nations) military for reasons unknown to him. He escapes from captivity and after a battle with the military, encounters the cause of all his troubles, a black hedgehog holding the Chaos Emerald in his hand. Sonic realizes that the black hedgehog stole the Emerald and because of their resemblance it was Sonic who ended up being attacked by the military. Sonic attacks the impostor, but he, using the Chaos Emerald, teleports away from the attack. Sonic is shocked by this technique, while the one who used it appears as Shadow the Hedgehog, the Ultimate Life Form. The black hedgehog escapes and Sonic ends up being captured on Prison Island by the military. Soon, Sonic is rescued from captivity by Tails and Amy. Sonic encounters Shadow again on the same island, but their fight is interrupted by an impending island explosion from which the heroes miraculously manage to escape on the Tornado. Shortly after the explosion, Dr. Eggman (apparently taking his insult as his nickname) announces that he is capable of destroying the entire planet unless its inhabitants surrender to the mercy of the Eggman Empire within 24 hours. To demonstrate his serious intentions, Eggman uses an energy beam to destroy half the moon. The heroes assume that Eggman is using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, so using the Emerald possessed by Tails, they learn that the other 6 Emeralds are in space. By sneaking into the President’s limousine, (who’s talking to Eggman at this moment), Sonic and Tails manage to find out that the villain is on the space colony Ark. Together, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy steal a rocket from the doctor and head for the colony. There, Tails gives Sonic a fake Chaos Emerald capable of detonating Eggman’s weapon from within, causing a critical error, but Sonic fails to execute the plan as Amy is captured. While rushing to the rescue, Sonic encounters Eggman, who demands the Emerald in exchange for Amy’s life. Sonic tries to trick the doctor by giving him the fake Emerald, but due to a mistake by Tails, the plan fails and Sonic is dropped into outer space. Using the power of the fake Emerald, Sonic manages to copy Shadow’s technique, Chaos Control, and teleports back to the colony. There, Sonic rushes to the weapon, but once again encounters Shadow in combat. After the battle, too much time had been lost so Sonic destroys Eggman’s weapon from the outside instead of the original plan, preventing the shot. However, despite his best efforts, Eggman still manages to insert the last Chaos Emerald into the weapon and the colony’s system uses their energy to send the colony into the planet and destroy all life on it. Heroes and villains unite to stop the colony from falling, but an Ultimate Life Form prototype, the Biolizard, stands in their way. Taking the form of Super Sonic and Super Shadow, the hedgehogs defeat the monster. Shadow heroically dies in battle, and all the heroes bid farewell to Shadow and word of his sacrifice spreads throughout the planet he saved.
Sonic Heroes (2003)
Neo Metal Sonic decides to avenge defeat by Sonic’s hands by capturing the Eggman Empire and all its robots, taking doctor himself as a prisoner in a process. Team Dark, Team Chaotix, and Team Rose distract the Metal Overlord while Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles use the Chaos Emeralds to take their Super forms. With the power of the Emeralds, the heroes manage to defeat the monster and things return to normal.
Sonic Battle (2003)
Sonic, while walking on Emerald Beach, suddenly discovers a robot. Trying to figure out what it is, Sonic picks up the robot when it demands a demonstration of power. Without a second thought, Sonic shows a couple of his techniques to the robot and it declares an established “link”. Not understanding anything, Sonic takes the robot to the Tails lab, but on the way he meets Rouge the Bat, a thief with a strange interest in the robot, as well as Shadow, who attacks Sonic. Sonic defeats Shadow and black hedgehog leaves, telling Sonic to keep an eye on the robot. Tails analyzes the robot and discovers that it is a very powerful machine, capable of absorbing Chaos Emeralds thus becoming stronger, as well as copying the fighting techniques of other fighters. Sonic finds this very cool and decides to upgrade the robot to the max. Sonic gives the robot the name Emerl and they begin their adventure together. In the process, Emerl forms his own personality and he builds a very friendly relationship with Sonic, Tails, Rouge, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, and even Shadow, but it also turns out that when Emerl absorbs all the Chaos Emeralds, he will lose control and destroy the entire world. Shadow, using a program left by Dr. Gerald Robotnik, disables the system and Emerl safely absorbs the seventh Chaos Emerald. Soon, however, due to the severe emotional turmoil caused by Eggman’s deception, Emerl goes out of control and triggers the system to destroy the world. Sonic has to fight Emerl and inflicts severe damage on the robot. Emerl, defeated, says goodbye to Sonic and explodes. It turns out that Dr. Gerald Robotnik has embedded a program in Emerl that will explode if he tries to destroy the planet. The heroes grieve for Emerl and say goodbye to him, but they still believe that Emerl lives in the shards of the Chaos Emeralds. Perhaps when all the wars and conflicts in the world are over, Emerl will return to his friends.
Sonic Advance 3 (2004)
Eggman creates a new robot named Gemerl. Gemerl was created based on a Gizoid, so he’s also able to copy the fighting abilities of other fighters. Unlike his original, Gemerl was loyal to his creator and stood with him against Sonic and other heroes. In the final battle, after losing against the heroes, Eggman and Gemerl began to retreat, but suddenly Gemerl disobeyed the doctor, attacked Sonic, grabbed 7 Chaos Emeralds and took his final form, Ultimate G-merl, wreaking havoc everywhere. Sonic uses the power of the Chaos Emeralds to obtain his Super form and joins forces with Eggman, who wishes to stop the machine that betrayed him, defeating the Ultimate G-merl.

Blaze is the princess of the Sol Dimension as well as the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, but recently the Sol Emeralds were stolen by Dr. Eggman and she is trying to get them back. Eggman Nega is also a visitor from the Sol Dimension and appears to be on the same side with Eggman. Sonic offers to help, but Blaze rudely refuses. Sonic insists and in the end, Sonic and Blaze end up fighting. After the fight, Blaze finally accepts help and Sonic, along with Blaze, defeats Eggman and Eggman Nega. Soon, however, Sonic’s dimension and the Sol’s Dimension begin to merge using the energy from the spatial rift, Eggman and Eggman Nega build the perfect robot. Using the power of the Chaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds, Sonic and Blaze become Super Sonic and Burning Blaze and work together to defeat Eggmans. After the battle, Blaze returns to her dimension, calling Sonic her friend.

Sonic Unleashed (2008)
While having another Sonic vs. Eggman battle, Sonic uses a Super Sonic form and destroys the doctor’s fleet. However, Eggman uses a pre-made trap and catches Super Sonic. Using the energy of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, Eggman shoots an energy beam into the Earth, thereby awakening the ancient Dark Gaia monster and splitting the Earth into 7 pieces (as well as stripping the Emeralds of all energy). In addition, as a consequence of the cataclysm, at night people became possessed by the spirits of Dark Gaia and went mad. However, on Sonic, it manifested in him to become a Werehog – a monster with long arms. After the shot, Eggman throws the defeated Sonic into space, but Sonic is saved from death by a mysterious green shield that prevents Sonic from falling to Earth and crashing. Once on Earth, Sonic finds a strange little creature nearby. The little red creature tells Sonic it doesn’t remember anything and ends up being Sonic’s companion, who promised to help the little fellow to find his lost memories. In the process, Sonic gives his new friend the name Chip, based on Chip’s love of chocolate chip ice cream. Soon, Sonic and Chip find a way to restore the energy of the Chaos Emeralds and restore the Earth. Using Chip’s strange, unknowable magical powers and Gaia’s Temples, the heroes were able to energize the Emeralds, which in turn allowed the planet to rebuild itself. Thus, after flying around the planet together, Sonic and Chip regenerate the six Chaos Emeralds and Chip’s memory is restored. It turns out that Chip’s real name is Light Gaia and he is an ancient deity who represents light and day throughout the world. It was his duty to fight Dark Gaia, but Eggman’s sudden awakening of the dark deity caught Light Gaia off guard, causing these consequences. Chip wants to stop Eggman and Dark Gaia himself, but Sonic won’t let Chip get away. He says he will definitely help his friend, and together they set out in search of the 7th Gaia Temple, which turns out to be right in the middle of Eggmanland. After fighting their way through clouds of enemies and dangerous traps, Sonic and Chip still charge the seventh Emerald and restore the Earth completely, but Dark Gaia had already built up the right amount of energy and was ready to destroy the world itself. Chip summons all the Gaia Temples and gathers them into a huge Gaia Colossus, Sonic, having used the seven Chaos Emeralds, becomes Super Sonic. Together, Gaia Colossus and Super Sonic defeat Dark Gaia, but Sonic loses all his power in the process and ends up unconscious. In the end, Light Gaia saves Sonic using the green shield from the beginning of the game and goes into long-term hibernation in the bowels of the Earth. As a reminder, Chip leaves Sonic a bracelet, which he keeps to this day.
Sonic and the Black Knight (2009)
Inside the world of a book about King Arthur, the mighty King became a dark knight, taking advantage of creatures from the Underworld. He became utterly invulnerable through the power of the Excalibur Scabbard and wreaked havoc across the kingdom. Merlina, the granddaughter of Merlin, desperate to defeat the dark knight, summoned a creature from another world, which turned out to be Sonic. Sonic faced Arthur in battle, but Merlina stopped the hedgehog and teleported him away from the battle along with herself. After explaining that Sonic himself could not defeat the King, the sorceress took the hedgehog to the place where the ancient sacred sword Caliburn rested in stone. Sonic and Caliburn didn’t like each other at first, since Sonic wasn’t noble enough in the sword’s opinion. But alas, even the power of this sword was not enough to defeat Arthur, causing Sonic to go on a long journey in order to become stronger as a knight and defeat the dark king. Together, Sonic and Caliburn defeated the Knights of the Round Table, took 3 other sacred swords from them, visited Lady of the Lake, and completed the test of becoming a true knight. Finally defeating Arthur, Sonic takes the Excalibur Scabbard and returns it to Merlina. Suddenly, using the power of the Scabbard, Merlina begins to spread Underworld’s energy and send monsters into the area. Sonic faced Merlina in battle but did not stand a few minutes against the power of the Dark Queen. In the end, Caliburn was broken and Sonic fell defeated. Suddenly, three sacred swords materialized in the room and combined with Caliburn. The four swords formed the most powerful sword, Excalibur. Using Excalibur’s power, Sonic defeats Merlina, but instead of finishing her off, he explains to her that it is in the mortality of the world that it’s beauty lies. Caliburn, being fixed after a transformation, shocks everyone by naming Sonic the true King Arthur.
Sonic Colors (2010)
Dr. Eggman has built an amusement park in space and by using special generators, has hooked the worlds of the race of the Wisps into this park, preventing these worlds from unhooking themselves. Eggman captures the Wisps and places them in special capsules. He drains their life energy, (which is called Hyper-go-on) in order to use that energy to seize control of the minds of those living in Sonic’s world. The Wisps that had been sucked out of their energy turned into Nega Wisps, dark versions of themselves, becoming unstable with the pain. Soon, Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower enter the park, deciding that a park in space built by Eggman is suspicious. After looking around a bit, Sonic notices Eggman’s robots capturing the Wisps and decides to rescue the aliens from the evil machines. One of the rescued, a Wisp named Yacker, tries to communicate with Sonic, but it doesn’t work because they speak different languages. Tails uses his machines and scientific genius to create a special translator that allows the heroes to speak with Yacker. The Wisp tells them about the outrage in Eggman’s park and Sonic goes on a trip to the planets shutting down all the generators and rescuing Wisps. In the end, Sonic shuts down all the generators and fights Eggman in a final battle, allowing Tails to evacuate from the park. Sonic won and Eggman was blown out into outer space, but Sonic himself was unable to escape the Hyper-go-on energy tearing out of the park. However, Sonic is rescued from certain death by Yacker and the other Wisps who then transports Sonic to solid ground. Sonic and Tails thank Yacker and are preparing to say goodbye when Nega-Mother Wisp, the mother of all the Wisps, defiled by Eggman’s machines, appears. Sonic, using the 7 Chaos Emeralds, transforms into Super Sonic and defeats Nega-Mother Wisp in combat, which restores her sanity. After the battle, all Wisps and their worlds leave Sonic’s world and the heroes have to say goodbye to Yacker, but even after this introduction to Sonic’s world, many Wisps enjoyed it and decided to stay there, many times helping Sonic in battles with Eggman and other villains in the future.

It turns out that along with Sonic from the past, the Tails from the past is also in this world, as well as many of Sonic’s friends from the future. Together, the two Sonics rescue their friends and collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds, finally meeting the dark entity in battle. It turns out that it’s named Time Eater and is controlled by Dr. Eggman along with his version from the past, Dr. Robotnik. Sonic Lost World (2013)
Sonic and Tails are chasing Eggman, (who’s stealing animals again) in order to save them. Eggman escapes on a mysterious hidden world named Lost Hex, a valley cut off from the rest of the world that does not follow the usual rules of physics and logic. Almost immediately, Sonic and Tails are attacked by Zeti – 6 new villains who are helping Eggman in his plans, but Sonic overpowers the two of them and at one point knocks the mysterious artifact, the Cacophonic Conch out of Eggman’s hands so that it is out of his reach. It turns out that this artifact was used by the doctor to control the Zeti, and because of Sonic’s actions, they broke free. Once free, the Zeti use their special abilities and take control of all of Eggman’s machines. Using the Extractor, a special machine created by Eggman, which extracts the planet’s energy, the Zeti siphon off almost all of the planet’s energy, bringing all life to the brink of extinction. Sonic and Eggman team up to stop the villains and in the end, Sonic defeats all the Zetis in a battle, and then also defeats Eggman, who, of course, betrayed the heroes, after which Tails shuts off the Extractor and restores the planet’s energy.
Sonic Forces (2017)
A powerful new villain named Infinite attacks Sonic. With the help of Metal Sonic, Chaos, Shadow, and Zavok, Infinite manages to defeat Sonic and the hedgehog finds himself captured by Eggman. Together, Eggman and Infinite take over 99% of the world with little or no resistance. Only faint echoes of The Resistance, led by Knuckles, fought the invaders, though unsuccessfully. One of the victims of Eggman’s attack finds the courage to join The Resistance and immediately, nicknamed “Rookie”, is assigned to help free Sonic, who happens to have been held captive on Death Egg the entire time. In the end, The Resistance manages to rescue Sonic from captivity and he joins them. Working together, Sonic and Rookie destroy Eggman’s factory in the desert and work well together. Soon, Tails joins The Resistance as well, along with Classic Sonic, who has come from another dimension to help fight the villains. In an attempt to storm Metropolis City, Sonic encounters Infinite in combat, but the villain uses the power of the Phantom Ruby to open a portal to a Null Space, which pulls Sonic in. The Rookie selflessly rushes to save the hedgehog, but is pulled into Null Space along with Sonic. Using Double Boost, the heroes manage to escape and together with The Resistance, they push Eggman to his final base. Working together, Sonic and Rookie defeat Infinite and destroy Eggman’s base, but the evil doctor still hasn’t given up. He implanted the Phantom Ruby into the Death Egg Robot and thereby amplifying the Ruby’s abilities many times over. With great difficulty, however, Rookie, Sonic and Classic Sonic work together to defeat Eggman in battle, thus saving the world. Classic Sonic returns to his dimension and the members of The Resistance begin to think about how to rebuild the world. At this point, Rookie asks Knuckles to let him leave the former Resistance and sets off on his own journey. Sonic does the same, noting in parting that he and Rookie (though that name doesn’t fit him anymore) are quite similar.
