Ali Baba and Sinbad Rescued! [Sonic and the Secret Rings]
Sinbad the Sailor is a version of Knuckles the Echidna from the world of Arabian Nights. Like his real-world version, Sinbad is single-minded, rude, a bit silly, but also very kind, brave, and monstrously strong. In addition, Sinbad has walked nearly the entire world of the book, knows how to use magical artifacts, and is a great hero of his world.

Sonic and the Secret Rings (2007)
As the great hero and world traveler of the book Arabian Nights, Sinbad was once again battling pirates when he was suddenly kidnapped by the bird Rukh. The pirates took his Water World Ring, which he used to control the water. Soon, Sinbad is found by Sonic the Hedgehog and Shahra, the Genie of the ring. Sonic and Shahra were looking for a way to defeat the fiery spirit Ifrit, and to do so, they freed Sinbad from captivity. Sinbad tells of the Water World Ring stolen from him, thereby allowing Sonic to defeat Ifrit. Afterward, Sinbad helps Sonic find his way out of the book, after which he lives peacefully as one of the key characters in his story.
