Dear Father [Sonic Frontiers]
Sage was created by Dr. Eggman to infiltrate the Cyberspace network of the civilization of Ancients, and only the evil doctor himself knows why, but he endowed Sage with human emotions. Sage’s main task is to protect Dr. Robotnik, a task she is willing to do anything to accomplish.
Despite who her creator is, Sage knows and understands morality-she understands the concept of “hero” and “villain” and, in general, strives for good. Of course, having as a key function the protection of the planet’s most evil doctor, she has the right temperament and a dose of villainous reticence, but overall, Sage cannot be called evil or even bad.
She does love Dr. Robotnik as much as a daughter loves her father. It really hurts her to think that Eggman may not share her feelings, and she sincerely desires affection and friendship built not on family ties, but on an emotional bond. For the sake of her maker, Sage is willing to sacrifice even her own life.
- Concept of family
- Sincere friendship
- Idea of Eggman and Sonic working together
- Making Robotnik proud
- Those who interfere with her operations
- When Eggman scolds her
- When Eggman disapproves of her ideas
Frontiers Sage [Canon]
Infiltrating Cyberspace, Self-learning system, Modeling the physical shell, Control of the Ancients’ mechanisms, Exile to Cyberspace, Cybercorruption Projectile, Capturing the body of a Titan.
Sage does not exist materially, so she is virtually defenseless in direct combat. In addition, she is not omnipotent and, for example, cannot control the Titans at all, despite the fact that they are also Ancients’ technology.
Sonic Frontiers (2022)
In another attempt to take over the world, Dr. Eggman decides to take over Cyberspace, built by an Ancient civilization that predates the echidnas. To do so, Eggman creates a perfect artificial intelligence named Sage and gives her human senses. Sage succeeds in penetrating Cyberspace, but in the process, Robotnik himself is dragged into it by the security systems, thus getting trapped inside without a way out. Sage begins searching for ways to save her creator, but it turns out that the Ancients sealed an ancient evil in Cyberspace that destroyed their civilization, and it was impossible to release anyone from Cyberspace without releasing the evil. In the process of his imprisonment, Eggman becomes proud of Sage and develops fatherly feelings for her. Sage, endowed with emotion, also shares Eggman’s feelings and feels sincere love for him. Soon, Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Tails are also trapped in Cyberspace, but Sonic miraculously manages to escape the trap on his own. Sonic begins searching for ways to release his friends from Cyberspace, thus endangering the entire world. Sage tries to stop Sonic, but he manages to break the cage of Cyberspace and, as a result, all those trapped inside, including the ancient evil and Eggman himself, are released. Sonic and Eggman have to team up to find the Chaos Emeralds on Ouranos Island, so Sage and Sonic scour the entire island. Finally, having collected all the Chaos Emeralds with Sage and Eggman’s help, Super Sonic faces off against the Titan named Supreme, in which the evil entity has been sealed. Super Sonic defeats Supreme, but the evil entity moves into the Moon and uses it as it’s temporary body. Sage takes control of Supreme and joins Super Sonic in attacking the Moon. Sage and Super Sonic succeed in destroying the Moon along with the evil sealed within it, but in the process Sage has to sacrifice her life. Eggman’s heart is broken and he is badly traumatized by Sage’s death. However, he soon manages to restore her code at his base and Sage is alive again.
