Pachacamac is a determined echidna, ready to sacrifice everything for the prosperity of his people. A born warrior and strategist, it was under Pachacamac’s leadership that the Knuckles Clan flourished and became one of the leading nations in the world.
The Knuckles Clan, led by Pachacamac, developed through plunder and war, which of course caused them to fail at one point. Because of their own greed and cruelty, the entire clan, along with Pachacamac, were wiped off the face of the planet.

Pachacamac never knew when to stop. He was convinced that what he was doing was for his people but thanks to his greed and cruelty the whole clan was wiped out and the world was almost destroyed.
By himself, Pachacamac never appeared in the games, but he had a huge impact on the story. A few thousand years before the events of the games, Pachacamac was the leader of the thriving echidna clan Knuckles. The Knuckles Clan developed through looting and warfare and was one of the strongest nations in the world on par with the Nocturnus Clan. Pachacamac possessed great intelligence and strength, so he almost didn’t know the defeat. Pachacamac had a daughter named Tikal. She disapproved of her father’s actions and often contradicted him, but he never listened to her.
Soon, a Knuckles Clan settled next door to the altar of the Master Emerald. Tikal decided to explore and had visited the altar. She was polite and peaceful, asking permission to approach, so Chaos, the defender of the altar, had trusted her. Since then, Tikal and Chaos have spent much time together. Tikal loved to pet Chao, the little creatures Chaos protected. Chaos communicated with Tikal through the water, relaying messages to her in a way only they both knew.
After a while, Knuckles Clan began planning an attack on the altar of Master Emerald. Tikal at first tried to change Pachacamac’s mind, but he remained relentless. Then Tikal tried to convince Chaos to run away with Chao, but Chaos said it was impossible. Then Tikal spoke to Pachacamac again, but this time he didn’t even listen to her.
And so, the Knuckles Clan attacked the altar. Tikal tried to stop the clan warriors and covered Chao with her own body, but even that didn’t stop Pachacamac. The clan warriors rushed to attack, severely wounding Tikal and killing Chao. In rage, hatred, and despair, Chaos burst out of Master Emerald and consumed Seven Emeralds. Perfect Chaos awakened.
The Knuckles Clan warriors fell without even realizing what had happened. That’s how Pachacamac, leader of Knuckles Clan, met his death.
