King Shahryar is a parallel version of Dr. Eggman’s from the world of Arabian Nights. He’s just as narcissistic, egoistic, and cowardly, but at the same time, since he is already a great ruler, there is no need for him to destroy or capture anything. Shahryar is the great ruler in the world of Arabian Nights. His power was unbreakable and unquestionable until the evil Erazor Djinn appeared and summoned thousands of evil spirits. The spirits fell upon the worlds of the book destroying Shahryar’s warriors and guards, leaving him utterly defenseless. Erazor wanted to capture the king to establish his own power, so Shahryar had to hide. However, he was soon found by Sonic the Hedgehog and Shahra, the Genie of the ring. Immediately after meeting them, Shahryar was suddenly kidnapped by Erazor right from his castle. Fortunately, Sonic and Shahra managed to come to his rescue and after rescuing Arabian Nights, Shahryar continued to rule his kingdom.
