Illumina is the goddess of Maginaryworld, who wishes that all who dwell in other worlds may encounter only the best dreams. Defending Pecioustone, she makes sure that Maginaryworld is not invaded by outsiders.
Though pious and kind, she was the one who put Maginaryworld at risk. Trying to reject the darker part of herself, the one responsible for the nightmares, she almost destroyed her own world with her own hands. However, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy were able to show Illumina that dark emotions and thoughts are also an important part of a person, for it is the darkness within hearts that creates dreams to overcome. Accepting her essence, Illumina restored Maginaryworld and defended it until the end of time.

Illumina has a good heart and tries to give others the best she has to offer. Though, she forgets that dark emotions are needed as well and with this almost destroys the Maginaryworld.
Sonic Shuffle (2000)
For ages, Illumina has been the goddess of Maginaryworld, guarding it from external threats and giving the inhabitants of other worlds dreams. Also, Illumina guarded Precioustone, a magical jewel, the embodiment of Maginaryworld. Illumina was pious and noble and wished only the best for the other worlds, so one day she wondered why nightmares exist. Every day her doubts grew, and at one point, her uncertainty turned into hostility, and Illumina’s whole essence turned against the negative. So Illumina split into two entities, Lumina Flowlight (the positive entity) and Void (the negative entity). Void, trying to understand why he was rejected and suffering from loneliness, seeks the Precioustone. But the jewel, being overflowed with hatred to the nightmare, only escapes Void by breaking apart. Void pursues Precioustone, for he fears loneliness, thereby only further destroying Precioustone and Maginaryworld.
Lumina, trying to find a solution, decides to seek help from beings from other worlds. Those who answered her call were Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna and Amy Rose. In an attempt to help Lumina, the heroes piece together the Precioustone and return it to the Temple of Light, the center of Maginaryworld. Void, still not understanding why he is hated and rejected, seeks to revisit Precioustone, but the heroes stop him and win the battle. After the victory, the heroes turn to Lumina. They explain that negative emotions are also very important to humans, as they create dreams. Lumina, who listens to the heroes, realizes her mistake and decides to restore Precioustone. Lumina and Void hold hands and reunite in Illumina. Precioustone and Maginaryworld are restored and the heroes return to their world.
