Big and Froggy are inseparable friends. They always spend time together fooling around and having fun. They are serene and take the best out of life, turning every day into a holiday.
Big is a bit dumb, but he makes up for it with immeasurable kindness and compassion. He is one of the kindest characters in the Sonic universe. Big never confronts anyone first and only sees the best in everyone.
However, those who offend Big’s friends will quickly realize that just as much as Big looks harmless, he’s just as tough. Big is one of the toughest characters with an unbreakable will and incredible stamina, as well as being very strong. Big will do the impossible for his friends, and Froggy is always happy to keep him company.

Big is a relaxed, calm, and carefree giant cat.
Sleeping, eating, and lure fishing are his hobbies. He is gentle and strong.
He and Froggy enjoy a relaxed life in the great outdoors, but when Big’s friends are in trouble, he tries his best to help them.

Froggy could’ve been kidnapped much less if he would be more careful. Though he likes to wander around, he will end up escaping from Big, losing his only solid protection.
Sonic Adventure (1998)
Big and Froggy were living peacefully in Big’s house on Mystic Ruins before the events of the game. Big and Froggy found the Chaos Emerald in the jungle and kept it as jewelry. Later, in the middle of the night as Big and Froggy slept, a part of the ancient monstrous god of destruction Chaos – his tail, appeared next to Big’s house. Froggy woke up and went to see what was going on, when suddenly a part of Chaos attacked and captured Froggy (by making frog eat (drink?) itself). The captured Froggy swallowed the Chaos Emerald and escaped. Unaware of anything, Big went in pursuit of his friend and ran all around Angel Island, along with Station Square. Eventually, the search led Big to Egg Carrier, a giant flying ship, where Big rescued Froggy right out of Chaos by fishing him out with a fishing rod. Big and Froggy borrowed Miles “Tails” Prower’s plane, the Tornado, and escaped from the Egg Carrier ship to head home.
Sonic Heroes (2003)
Big loses Froggy again. At the same time, Cream the Rabbit, a very polite, naive and young girl along with her pet Chao named Cheese also lose their friend Chao named Chocola. Amy Rose, a huge fangirl of a hero Sonic the Hedgehog learns from the newspaper that both Froggy and Chocola have been kidnapped by Sonic, so Big, wanting to find and return his friend, joins up with Amy and Cream in Team Rose and together the three of them rush to find Sonic. Soon, after many adventures and battles with Eggman’s robots, Team Rose finds Froggy and Chocola, who, as it turns out, were kidnapped not by Sonic, but by his metal replica – Neo Metal Sonic. The robot used Chocola and Froggy to copy the DNA of Chaos. Also, by copying the DNA of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, and the Ultimate Life Form Shadow the Hedgehog, Metal Sonic becomes the Metal Overlord, a completely invincible and unbeatable monster. Team Rose, Team Dark and Team Chaotix distract the Metal Overlord while Team Sonic are using the Chaos Emeralds to take their Super forms. With the power of the Emeralds, the heroes manage to defeat the monster and things return to normal.
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (2008)
Big and Froggy join a team of friends, including Amy and Cream, with Sonic and Tails as team leaders against an ancient, high-tech echidna clan exiled to another world called Nocturnus. In the game, Big and Froggy were a strong asset to the team, as Big was virtually invulnerable to damage, especially to poison, and Froggy could call his frog friends and attack enemies with poison.
Team Sonic Racing (2019)
Big along with his Team Rose friends – Amy and Chao (instead of Cream) joins the Dodon Pa races. Everyone suspected Dodon Pa was evil, but Big knew from the very beginning Dodon Pa was good. Big knew that wisps would never cooperate with a bad person. At the end it appears that Big was right and behind all villainy stood Eggman (as always), but the evil doctor was stopped by the heroes yet again.
