Fist Bump [Sonic Forces]
While still only a weak child, the unnamed hero witnessed the fall of Sonic, the strongest hero, and the subsequent destruction of his own world. Attempting to retake his city, he, along with his comrades, friends, and relatives were defeated by the nightmarish villain Infinite, but he survived, for Infinite deemed him too pitiful to finish him off.
However, even after this defeat, the unnamed hero became one of the few who had the courage to join the Resistance and oppose Eggman Empire. Together with the Resistance, the unnamed hero, whose appearance, weapons and style are chosen by the player, frees Sonic from his half-year captivity and, together with the legendary hero, defeats both Infinite and Eggman.
Avatar is insecure and even somewhat cowardly, but clearly actively struggles with this trait in himself. Inspired by the example of heroes such as Sonic, he always strives for rightness and never gives up in an attempt to protect his own world from destruction. He is willing to do anything to protect the world and his loved ones, and wants to prove to everyone that he is not just the wimp that Infinite thought he was.
Having defeated the villains and returned the world to its inhabitants, Avatar embarks on a long journey in search of his own way instead of helping to restore the world.
High Speed, Grinding, Wire Attack, Wire Drift, Stomp, Wall Jump, Wispon usage.

Forces Avatar [Canon]
Avatar’s first and last appearance was in Sonic Forces (2017). Eggman enlists the support of the powerful villain Infinite, who uses an artifact called the Phantom Ruby to create illusions so real that they can directly affect the world around him. Using his immeasurable power, Infinite defeats Sonic in battle and the hedgehog ends up being captured by Eggman. With Sonic’s defeat, there is no one left to oppose Eggman and Infinite, and within six months they have taken over 99% of the world. Only faint echoes of the Resistance, led by Knuckles the Echidna, fought the invaders, though unsuccessfully. During the capture of one of the cities, Infinite, destroying another squad of enemies, noticed a weak, shaking child who had dropped his weapon in fright. Infinite mocked the child, saying he would spare him if he ran away in terror.
That same kid, after surviving the attack, finds the courage to join the Resistance and immediately, nicknamed “Rookie”, is assigned to help free Sonic, who happens to have been held captive on Death Egg the entire time. In the end, the Resistance manages to rescue Sonic from captivity and he joins the Resistance. Working together, Sonic and Rookie destroy Eggman’s factory in the desert and work well together. Soon, Miles “Tails” Prower joins the Resistance as well, along with Classic Sonic, who has come from another dimension to help fight the villains.
In an attempt to storm Metropolis City, Sonic encounters Infinite in combat, but the villain uses the power of the Phantom Ruby to open a portal to a Null Space, which pulls Sonic in. The Rookie selflessly rushes to save the hedgehog, but is pulled into Null Space with Sonic. Using Double Boost, the heroes manage to escape and together with the Resistance, they push Eggman to his final base. Working together, Sonic and Rookie defeat Infinite and destroy Eggman’s base, but the evil doctor still hasn’t given up. He implanted the Phantom Ruby into the Death Egg Robot and thereby amplifying Ruby’s abilities many times over. With great difficulty, however, Rookie, Sonic and Classic Sonic work together to defeat Eggman in battle, thus saving the world.
Classic Sonic returns to his dimension and the members of the Resistance begin to think about how to rebuild the world. At this point, Rookie asks Knuckles to let him leave the former Resistance and sets off on his own journey. Sonic does the same, noting in parting that he and Rookie (though that name doesn’t fit him anymore) are quite similar.
