Spooky and dark, full of riddles, secrets and hidden levers, located somewhere on the West Side Island, Mystic Cave Zone is a very dangerous place for an accidental traveler. Hidden in the darkness of the caves, switches can open both a useful secret path and an extremely dangerous fall right into the spikes.
Located somewhere on West Side Island, Hill Top Zone is a mountainous area filled with caves and grottos. There are many active volcanoes and as a consequence, the caves and canyons are filled with molten lava. At times, special bungee cords and trampolines are needed to navigate here, as the terrain is characterized by constant changes in altitude and temperature.

A kingdom of games and riches located somewhere on the West Side Island, Casino Night Zone is a huge casino town completely dedicated to the theme of Dr. Robotnik, Sonic, and Tails’ battles. All of the boxes on the local slot machines are made in the image of the Doctor, Sonic, and Tails, as well as recognizable items like rings and spiky balls.
Located somewhere on the West Side Island, the Aquatic Base Zone is the submerged ruins of an ancient civilization full of ancient traps and Dr. Robotnik’s robots. Half of the zone is on the surface, where the main obstacle will be the instability of platforms and robots. The other half is underwater, where collapsing parts of the ruins can crush the hapless hero or even quickly run out of oxygen.
Another iconic area in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the purple liquid-chemical-filled plant captured the hearts of many players in 1992 and still appears in the series to this day. Located on West Side Island, Chemical Plant Zone is a chemical factory filled with suspicious purple liquid, lots of pipes and, of course, robots of Dr. Robotnik.
A tropical area on the coast of the West Side Island, safe and beautiful, Emerald Hill Zone would be the first place to visit for those who wish to find the Chaos Emeralds. Filled with standard waterfalls and palm trees and not-so-standard loops, as if made especially for Sonic’s speed, this location would pose no threat if not for Dr. Robotnik’s robots.
Following the release of Sonic Origins, players discovered a plethora of bugs and glitches. Aware of these criticisms, SEGA is addressing it by working on a patch for the game. In a recent tweet by Sonic the Hedgehog’s social media manager, Katie Chrzanowski,”Hey! Thanks for the patience! The team’s been listening and is working on fixing a variety of issues right now.”
