Located on Angel Island, the ruins of the Marble Garden Zone are the overgrown remains of an ancient civilization that once lived on this land. These ruins would pose no danger now, but have been equipped with the traps of Dr. Robotnik.
This sunken city is probably the remnants of the ancient echidna nation of Knuckles Clan, destroyed by Chaos long before the events of the games. The still-working mechanisms of the ruins, which pose a real danger to those who were not lucky enough to get here, show the advanced building technology of the ancients and their desire to protect their secrets.
The island floating in the sky, Angel Island is a vast location of verdant jungles, scorching deserts and perpetually frozen mountains. However, the Angel Island Zone usually refers to the coast of the island – a tropical green beach.
Dr. Robotnik’s final techno-fortress on South Island, built with the energy of the Chaos Emerald, overflowing with traps and vacuum tubes, the Electric Egg Zone will be the greatest test for Sonic and Tails in their adventure to save South Island for the second time.
A submerged temple with many traps and secrets, Aqua Planet Zone becomes one of the final steps in freeing the South Island from Dr. Robotnik’s rule.
Located on South Island, a mechanized tropical paradise filled with robots of Dr. Robotnik and dangerous traps. Once green and growing Green Hill, overflowing with green grass, fertile soil, and incredibly beautiful waterfalls, has now become the Mecha Green Hill Zone, a gloomy, dark abode of evil machines.
A strange floating island above the South Island, the Sleeping Egg Zone is a place where Dr. Robotnik could find rest and solace. As a villain base, it is filled with hostile robots, traps and, of course, many Robotnik faces all around, but compared to the Doctor’s other bases, this one is a little bit more welcoming and safe.
Located somewhere on the South Island, the Gigapolis Zone is a futuristic industrial city in the midst of active construction. This city bears a strong resemblance to Star Light Zone, also on the South Island, which may indicate that they are different zones of the same city, or that the two cities are adjacent.
A tropical paradise in many ways similar to Green Hill, also located on South Island, Turquoise Hill Zone is a relatively safe green area suitable for familiarizing yourself with the game.
Dr. Robotnik’s great and mighty station designed to become his center of world conquest, the Death Egg Zone is a demonstration of the mechanical power of the Eggman Empire. Hovering in orbit around the planet, a mechanical moon in the shape of Dr. Robotnik’s head, Death Egg Station is a full-fledged station where robots are built, mechanisms are charged, and tactical maneuvers are performed.
